Colombian climate is predominantly tropical, and the period between May and October is considered the wettest. You should remember that some country areas present a high degree of seismic activity, with several active volcanoes between them. You should also try and stay away from Colombian regions with higher crime rate.

Transportation and travel charges

Unfortunately, most local roads are constantly getting flooded with rain or mudslides. Probably the best way of travelling across the country is renting a car or hailing a taxi. You can order a lunch meal in a cheap restaurant for 3 euros and buy a cup of coffee for about 1 euro. In a local shopping mall, a 1.5 litre water bottle will cost you 80 euro cents. You can buy one kilogram of fruit for approximately 0.60 to 1.50 euro.
