How to travel?

The international Schiphol Airport is the finishing point of planes that go to Amsterdam. The biggest airport in the Netherlands is located 9 kilometres away from the city centre. You can cross this distance using a bus, a taxi, or getting on metro.

Amsterdam is called the city of bicycles for a reason: locals are head over heels for this ecological means of transportation. You can easily make a trip across the whole city using a bike. If the weather isn’t too great, you can always use metro or any other public transport services

What to taste?

If you wish to understand how and why Amsterdam is unique, definitely start from tasting Dutch dishes, which are exquisitely delicious. Especially popular is a pea and ham soup ertwensoep, mashed vegetables with sausage (stamppot), and beef stew (hutspot). We recommend tasting some fresh herring (maatjes) and smoked eel as well.

What to see?

Amsterdam at daytime and Amsterdam at night are two different cities. We recommend exploring both of them.
