Madrid Barajas airport is located on the outskirts of the city and considered one of the most important airports in Spain. While visiting Madrid, it’s worth visiting several local museums. The most popular one is Prado museum, with an impressive collection of paintings. After seeing it, head over to the Madrid national archaeology museum, as well as the Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofia museums that are housing objects spanning the time period from pre-historic ages to the new era.

Those who wish to go shopping and buy some return gifts, will love the Puerta del Sol shopping district, the main city street of Gran Via, and the flea market of Madrid. Here you will also be able to get a closer look at the locals’ lifestyle and authentic Spanish culture.
