This region is famous for its fragrant and multi-coloured rose growing fields that are located just south of the Balkan Mountains, near the town of Kazanlak. The town also houses the Rose Museum, which is the only world’s museum dedicated solely to roses. In it you will see more than 15 000 different exhibits conneceted to rose growing and rose oil production. Take another trip from Sofia to the sunny resorts of Varna or Slanchev Bryag (Sunny Beach) and you will be able to admire grand views of Balkan Mountains and vineyard fields.
